When you understand what that stuff can't do, because you've hit the level of skill where you *know*, consider additions and alternatives. You could spend thousands, easily, on crap you don't need. But if you don't know why you might want X - don't buy X.

You will naturally build up a library over time. I'll never even hear most of it, but I know I have a good range to draw on no matter what sounds I need. All the stuff that comes with Ableton Suite, which is awesome. I have the KSHMR drumkits and CPA bedroom beats on splice, Levianthan 1-3 by Black Octopus which I got in some sale not on splice, Samples From Mars which I got all of in a sale.

Splice is a pay-by-subscription marketplace for samples. The internet has been turned into a tool to sell you shit you don't need, in all walks of life. There's lots of talk, and bravado, that a service or synth will give you that 'pro' sound, and it should all be ignored. If you're a novice, my first piece of advice would be to not sweat your choice of tools too much.
